As I mentioned in video 1, the reason you feel shame after watching porn is not because you watched porn, it’s because of what you think about you watching porn.
You have a thought, “I did something shameful, I did something wrong” and those thoughts are what causes you to feel shame.
The way that humans work is we think thoughts. Those thoughts cause us to feel feelings and those feelings cause us to take actions.
When you’re feeling shame the #1 action you are going to want to take is to watch more porn.
You watch porn because it feels good and when you’re feeling ashamed you’re going to watch porn because it’ll make you feel better.
It doesn’t matter that watching porn caused you to think thoughts that created shame for you, you’re going to want to watch porn because you’re wired to watch porn when you feel bad.
Watching porn helps you feel better because it helps you to escape negative emotions.
These are all patterns.
Watching porn is a pattern, as is feeling shame after watching porn.
And in order to change your pattern, you have to be aware of your patterns.
That awareness gives you the power to change it.
When you’re aware of your patterns you can stop feeling shame AND you can stop watching porn.
